How Strategic Innovation Reduced Message Blocks and Boosted Customer Satisfaction

With cellphone network operators and SMS aggregators tightening regulations, TextUs faced frequent message blocks due to non-compliant opt-out language. As the Product Manager, I devised a solution to meet both customer customization needs and regulatory requirements. By thoroughly analyzing 10DLC and TCPA guidelines and gathering customer feedback, I collaborated with UX and engineering to create and quickly implement a prototype. This early action halved the message blocks and significantly reduced customer complaints. The final feature, offering customizable and compliant messaging options, was met with immediate approval from admins and became a key selling point for new customers, enhancing overall satisfaction and reducing compliance issues.
